Car Service Centre, Segensworth Automobiles has received the Voluntary Service Award in the ‘Fareham in Bloom’ gardening competition which, since its launch in 1996, has grown into a recognised and successful campaign attracting more than 400 entries from across the region each year.

The competition encourages all sectors of the community, from private garden owners to small or large businesses, to become actively involved in the enhancement of communal areas across Fareham and the surrounding district, by providing bright and colourful planting schemes. Segensworth Automobiles, who sponsor two roundabouts in the Park Gate area, were presented the Voluntary Services Award in recognition of their dedication to preserving these roundabouts, as well as various other public areas across the borough.

On collecting the award, Segensworth Automobiles Managing Director, Rhianon Lewis, says “I think it is really important for local businesses to support community campaigns as not only does it develop a sense of local pride but it brings the community together. ‘Fareham in Bloom’ in particular makes the region a more pleasant place for local people to live and work as well as creating a more welcoming location for others to visit, so Segensworth Automobiles are happy to be involved and are really honoured to receive this award.”
